Mike Barnett is a composer, songwriter, music director, orchestrator, and conductor whose work spans film, television, animation, and interactive entertainment.

A lifelong believer in the power of a great melody, Mike creates music built around memorable themes, emotional storytelling, and distinct musical worlds. His work has been heard across projects for Disney, Apple, Amazon, Netflix, BBC, FX, Nickelodeon, and more.

​

Most recently, Mike composed, orchestrated, and conducted the score for an upcoming animated series, recording a 52-piece orchestra at the legendary Abbey Road Studios in London. He has also worked on the music production teams for Disney's Star Wars and Indiana Jones interactive experiences, collaborating on orchestral score preparation and live recording sessions, including work at Skywalker Ranch.

Mike currently serves as Music Director and songwriter for the award-winning BBC children's series Maddie & Triggs, helping shape the show's musical identity from the earliest creative ideas through final production. His other work includes CoComelon Lane, Mickey and the Roadster Racers, Wonder Pets, Action Pack, American Horror Story, Glee, The Blacklist, and music for Disneyland Paris.

Earlier in his career, Mike spent four years at Hans Zimmer's Remote Control Productions, contributing additional music to film and television projects and working alongside some of the industry's leading composers and music teams.

Whether he's writing an intimate character theme, building the musical language of an animated world, or standing in front of an orchestra, Mike approaches music with the same goal: create something memorable enough that you want to hear it again.

Mike is a graduate of Berklee College of Music, where he double majored in Film Scoring and Performance. He is based in Los Angeles.
